Read MoreIn a constant effort to improve its productivity, the police department of the Longueuil agglomeration has just renewed its three interrogation rooms with the most sophisticated technology available. Concerned about the reduction of crime in its territory by increasing the efficiency of its investigators motivated the city of Longueuil. The investment in this new 100% Quebec technology will enable it to achieve its objective of offering its population a better sense of security.
This system acquired by the police department, designed by the manufacturer MaestroVision, offers the possibility of indexing all the notes with interrogations.
This principle makes it possible to quickly find and recross a specific moment in an interrogation, saving valuable time to the investigators. Moreover, this system is of a disconcerting simplicity. It is no longer necessary for an investigator to employ the services of a specialized technician to use the system. This is a perfect example of the best practices used through new technologies for law enforcement.

In a constant effort to improve its productivity, the Independent Investigations Bureau (BEI) has renewed its three interrogation rooms with the most sophisticated technology available.
MaestroVision is proud to announce its partnership with the University of Montreal Hospital Center for the modernization of its facilities in the new premises of the major architectural project on StDenis Street in downtown Montreal.
The University of Montreal Hospital Center (CHUM) wanted to adopt new processes to improve its health services delivered to patients. The hospital was looking for a solution to equip their seventeen (17) operating rooms with a technology that would enable to record, manage and replay certain operations and simulations. These records would then be used for training and self-actualization within the medical community. By giving the opportunity to easily share and study some practices, the CHUM would have the ability to teach and refine its best practices.
Following a wide-ranging exploration of different solutions, the CHUM chose MaestroVision to achieve its objectives. The advantages of the MaestroVision video solution are undeniable. This technology ensures the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all data at all times. It offers a complete solution, through the various stages; recording, replay, content extraction, sharing, and archiving. In addition, by offering a specialized engineering service that works with the customer to make customized adjustments, MaestroVision’s technology adapts to the specific needs of each customer.
MaestroVision has partners in several markets, such as:
• broadcasting, in the master control rooms
• law enforcement, in interrogation rooms
• justice; in courtrooms
• government, in council meeting rooms
• and now, health; in operating rooms

“The systems that we sell to police departments and to universities are all derived from broadcast technology,” MaestroVision video expert Michel Girard told The Suburban. “This solution is suited to those kinds of applications.”
By indexing interview notes, the Quebec-developed technology makes it simplifies and speeds up the process of selecting salient portions of the recordings, enabling investigators to use the system themselves without having to rely upon a highly trained technician, added MaestroVision marketing director Maria Martinez.
“The interface is very easy to user,” she said in an interview.
The company has sold its systems to many police departments all over Quebec and has just made inroads into the United States, where it has an office.
“Lévis, Quebec City and [Canadian] Military Police are some of the police services that use it,” added Girard. “We just sold two in Florida. We also have people in Mexico.”
Founded in Vaudreuil-Dorion in 1998, MaestroVision subsequently moved its headquarters to Sainte Anne de Bellevue. In addition to the applications that it sells to law enforcement agencies, it also provides leading-edge broadcast solutions for webcasting council meetings, municipal video libraries, broadcast automation, video servers, traffic management and classroom recording, among other applications.
Read MoreThe President of MaestroVision, Claude Turcotte, is delighted to announce the signing of a $2.35M contract for the complete modernization of the recording systems at the MJQ, the Quebec Department of Justice. This new technology will digitally record six audio tracks in each of the 517 hearing rooms in Quebec, compared to the current two track recording system. The quality of recording will be greatly improved and will facilitate the efficient extraction and replay of desired content.
Record management is at the heart of the technology to be installed by MaestroVision. The system ensures the availability, integrity and compliance of all recording data. A centralized redundancy back up will be established to serve all fifty eight courthouses and another thirty eight service offices throughout Quebec. This MaestroVision solution will provide a sophisticated search engine to find specific recordings using a multiple key word algorithm, as well as by file or case number. This will provide access to comprehensive statistical analysis, and allow for the removal of inactive judicial records according to a retention schedule, as provided for in the Archives Act.
MaestroVision technology meets best practices in both IT and data security, providing the MJQ with a secure and robust recording and archive system.
